To Pose or Pass? My Maternity Shoot Dilemma
To be honest, when I first found out I was pregnant, I had no intention of doing a maternity shoot. In fact, I even told everyone I wasn’t going to do one. But as my bump started growing, I began to have second thoughts. I shared my uncertainty about the shoot on my Instagram stories, and so many of you responded encouraging me to go for it, assuring me that I would be so happy I did. And isn't that the truth!
For me, I didn’t want the shoot to feel too campy or overly sensual; I wanted it to reflect our style—fashionable and fun, just like us. And of course, I couldn’t leave out our firstborn, Cabo! If someone were to ask me whether they should do a maternity shoot, my answer would be an enthusiastic DO IT! Make it your own, whatever that may look like. Don’t feel pressured to do the typical bare belly shots if that’s not what feels right for you.
I’m so happy we took the time to memorialize this moment in our lives. These photos perfectly capture who we are and highlight how grateful we are to be at this stage in our journey, especially considering how many years it took for us to get pregnant with our baby girl.
