Limited Edition A+O romper to compliment Chandon’s limited edition American Summer Bottle
Coming from someone who shops for a living, its a blessing and a curse. Shopping is definitely not my favorite past time anymore..sigh. But what’s worse that a busy Saturday at the mall for a stylist???? A sample sale.
Dirty looks, sharp elbows, and snide remarks also come with the cost of that $10 designer dress. Worth it? I had always said NO, until yesterday! I seriously scored at the Robert Rodriguez sale with 14 chic staple items for $150!! I found that regardless of the anxious shoppers dashing everywhere, I kept reminding myself that ALL OF the women there have their own opinion of what they consider “cute” which is not necessarily the same what I consider to be. So with that thought, I set forth with calming grace, and shopped those racks like I was perusing Neiman Marcus, paying no mind to the hurricane around me.
Triumphant. Now, I’m PRO SAMPLE SALE!!!!!
I know most of you know this but I can’t express enough that American Apparel is THE place to search for all your bold color basics!! So many times when I can’t find that perfect top, accessory, skirt, etc to pair with something, I usually find it here. Go!
When pursuing a job in the styling business, or any biz for that matter, following up after sending an email or a resume is vital. I get many emails a week from people either wanting to intern/assist for me, or looking for insight on how to even start. Truth is, people are busy, and its up to you to set yourself apart from the rest and let the employer know you are the most eager and driven for the job. Some of the biggest career moves in my life have been a result of following up and being professionally persistent, which has set me above the other candidates. It basically shows the prospective employer a bit of your work ethic and tenacity before you even meet with them! So go get it!!!
“Cannes“? As in the film festival.
Most likely you are saying it wrong, as most people do. It’s a tricky little word, and people are mispronouncing it left and right in this biz. Inside I want to correct them soooo bad! Depending on who it is, and how long I’ve known them, I most certainly do.
FIRST OFF… you DON’T pronounce the “S“. It’s as simple as saying “Can“, and you got it right!
Never be afraid to sport some SERIOUS shoes. You will receive ALL the compliments in the room, either out of envy or the respect of having the you-know-whats to wear them!!
these call for a major, “OH MY GAAAAAWD!”
